Our Sheep & Cow Farm
+copy.jpg)
Sheep, cow and geese are farmed only through organic feeding without having to add any factory produced feed. They are 100% grass and straw fed without addition of chemical or growth promoting chemical.
We have a 50 acre grazing land for our little over 600 sheep and geese also feed grasses from the long dykes of our huge farm.
In addition, we also have trained and started contract faming with 60 locals to rear sheep and geese as of January 2010. More farmers are joining every month to enjoy the benefit of collective farming.
Our horticulture
Our vermi culture

Shiblee Hatchery & Farms Ltd. has one of the largest set ups of vermi culture to produce vermi compost to use in its horticulture beds. Also many of its contract farmers are producing vermi compost.
As of January 2010, our total capacity of producing vermi compost is more than 15 ton per month.
Use of vermi compost has drastically improved the quality of our vegetable products at our farm. It increased its original taste, texture and has dramatically reduced the attack by pests in our garden.
Contract farmers, 87 of them, recruited, trained and engaged so far by this farm, are also producing enough vermi compost not only to support their own farming but also to sell to their neighboring farmers.
About our prawn hatchery and farm
At our hatchery, we produce roughly 10 million PL every year in nearly 100 water tanks. Almost 95% of these are sold to farmers in Barisal and Khulna areas. Rest we retain to use in our own farming. We have a 10 acre farm at Kuakata and a 50 acre farm at Hajipur, 15 KM away from Kuakata. Both these farms have prawn and a number of other fishes such as tilapia and various carp fishes.
